Calling all Heywire Trailblazers…
Applications are now open for the ABC’s Trailblazers program in 2021, which showcases the stories of regional Australia’s brightest new leaders.
Trailblazers is an opportunity for people, aged 18 – 28, who are driving positive social change projects in their regional communities, to have their work celebrated nationally.
Successful applicants receive an incredible package of support that includes having their story told on the ABC, exclusive access to the Trailblazer Development Fund and an invitation to participate in the leadership building regional youth summit.
The summit is an intensive learning experience to empower young regional leaders, share their stories and build their leadership capacity.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, The Hon Michael McCormack MP, encourages young changemakers to get involved.
“The Trailblazers program is a wonderful initiative, encouraging young Australians in regional areas to contribute to the future of their communities,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
“Regional Australia is a great place to work, live and invest and I know how passionate young regional Australians are about making sure their local communities become even better.”
