Keeping on top of workplace health management…
From 1 June 2020, seasonal and itinerant workers, who are already in Queensland, are now able to travel throughout the entire state, except to biosecurity areas or restricted areas.
As seasonal workers regularly move from region to region for work, it is critical that the potential risk of spreading COVID-19 is mitigated.
It is mandatory for those businesses employing seasonal and itinerant workers to submit a workplace health management plan to Queensland Health that complements existing workplace health and safety procedures.
Queensland Government, Department of Agriculture and Fishieries has record-keeping templates for workplace health management plans to assist your agribusinesses or commercial fishing and processing business to maintain records of activities.
Workers are still encouraged NOT to visit farms and register their availability at ‘Harvest Trail’.
