Born in Mareeba, Joe is a dedicated and experienced farmer and proprietor of the family farming business and now solely grows mango. He is also involved in a motor mechanic business – Moro Auto Repairs.
As Chair of FNQ Growers (previously Mareeba District Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association) since 1995, this has led him to have a long involvement with a number of community activities, organisations and interests. Not only does he deal with issues that affect fruit and vegetable growers, he also focuses on a wide range of economic development activities and social issues as President of the Mareeba Chamber of Commerce and as Director of the Queensland Farmers Federation.
He has represented the region at a local, state and national level. He sees an important need to be a strong voice and advocate for the Atherton Tableland Community and has been a valueable committee member of RDA Tropical North since 2018.
