Stirling Tavener, is the founder of Anson Advisory, a business and agribusiness consultancy firm specialising in business management, feasibility studies, bank negotiations & capital raising, business coaching/mentoring, governance/director/chairman type services for organisations requiring better governance solutions.
Stirling develops and assists the implementation of financial and business management, as well as improve business processes and efficiencies for a wide range of businesses. Leadership and communication skills are integral to engage, build relationships and lead stakeholders through the complex web of contemporary business.
Stirling also founded Bugs Alive in 2020, growing insects for the live petfood, human and livestock protein markets. This industry has huge potential to utilise waste food products and converting them into high value protein and fertilisers.
Stirling has established ‘Cocovera’, a brand of natural moisturiser products, after developing them from the raw forms of coconut oil and aloe vera. Medical grade aloe vera and food grade coconut oil with minimal additives provide great benefits for skin.
Stirling is also a cane farmer and has a number of board roles. He has degrees in Business (Masters in Finance and Accounting), Science and Agricultural Science, accompanied by qualifications from the Institute of Managers & Leaders as a Chartered Manager and from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in governance.
Prior to establishing Anson Advisory, Stirling was a business banker for 7 years, an agricultural consultant and an agribusiness analyst. The experiences gained by travelling through over 70 countries helps him appreciate Australia, but also the drive to continually improve.
